Data Deletion
Last updated: September 4, 2026
Liveline (getliveline.com) helps businesses manage customer conversations across WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook Messenger. If you have messaged a business that uses Liveline, you can request deletion of the data we hold about you in any of the following ways.
Option 1 — Contact the business
The business you were messaging is the primary controller of your conversation data. Reach out to that business and ask them to arrange deletion of your conversation and contact information, with our assistance where needed.
Option 2 — Email us
You can email us at privacy@getliveline.com with the messaging account (for example, the phone number or username) you used. We will review and verify your request with the relevant business where needed. Include the business name and channel so we can identify the records and confirm the scope of deletion.
Option 3 — A deletion request sent by Meta
If Meta sends Liveline a signed Data Deletion Request, we verify the signature and queue the request. The automated process then:
- Finds conversations across workspaces whose stored contact identifier matches the identifier supplied in the request.
- Permanently deletes those conversations, their messages and handoff records.
- Records the request identifier, confirmation code, status, deletion count and timestamps so processing can be tracked.
Removing an app connection is not itself confirmation that Liveline received a deletion request. An identifier supplied by Meta may differ from the identifier stored for a messaging conversation. If records are not matched, or you need deletion across other identifiers, contact us using Option 2.
When a valid request is accepted, Liveline returns a confirmation code and status link of
the form getliveline.com/data-deletion/status/<confirmation_code> where you
can check whether the deletion has completed.
Confirming deletion
Refresh the status page to check whether the request is pending, completed or failed, and how many matching conversations were deleted. A completed request with zero matches does not establish that no data exists under a different identifier. This process does not delete your Meta account, cancel a Liveline subscription, or confirm removal of every diagnostic record, backup or third-party copy. For help with those records or a failed request, contact privacy@getliveline.com.
